1 General Terms

• Rentrides is a platform that connects vehicle owners with renters for bike and car rentals.
• By using our services, you agree to comply with all terms, policies, and applicable laws.
• We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our platform after updates implies acceptance.

2 Eligibility

• Users must be 18 years or older to rent a vehicle.
• Renters must hold a valid driving license for the category of vehicle they rent.
• Vehicle owners must provide valid registration, insurance, and necessary permits for listing.

3 Booking & Rental Terms

For Renters:

• Bookings must be made using a registered account.
• A security deposit may be required (refundable after safe return of the vehicle).
• The renter is responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal violations during the rental period.
• Renters must return the vehicle on time. Late returns may incur additional charges.
• No third-party sub-renting – The person booking must be the one using the vehicle.

For Vehicle Owners:

• Only roadworthy vehicles with valid documents can be listed.
• Vehicle condition must match the listing details.
• Timely maintenance and insurance renewal are the owner's responsibility.
• Owners must honor all confirmed bookings. Last-minute cancellations may result in account penalties.

4 Payment & Refund Policy

💰 Payments:

• All payments must be made via approved payment methods on Rentrides.
• We use secure escrow transactions to protect both renters and vehicle owners.

🔄 Refunds:

• 100% refund if a booking is canceled 24 hours before the start date.
• No refunds once the rental starts or for unused rental days.
• No refund for unused fuel.
• Refunds are processed within 7 working days.

5 Vehicle Inspection & Damages

🔎 Pre & Post Rental Inspection:

• Renters must inspect the vehicle before accepting the rental.
• Any pre-existing damage should be reported at the time of pickup.

⚠️ Damage Policy:

• Renters are liable for any damages incurred during the rental period.
• In case of an accident, the renter must inform the owner and Rentrides immediately.
• The security deposit may be partially or fully used for repairs if required.

6 eAuction Terms

🏍️ For Buyers:

• Bidding starts at Rs 100 for listed vehicles.
• Instant Buy option is available for select vehicles.
• The winning bidder has 7 days to complete payment.
• If the highest bidder fails to pay, the next highest bidder is automatically selected.
• Payment is held in escrow until the buyer physically inspects and approves the vehicle.
• If the buyer rejects the vehicle, the auction is canceled, and the amount is refunded.

🚗 For Sellers:

• Sellers must provide accurate vehicle details.
• Once a vehicle is auctioned, the seller must complete the sale.
• Three consecutive cancellations by a buyer or seller will result in a 2-month account freeze.

7 Cancellation & Account Suspension Policy

🚫 Account Freeze:

• Three consecutive booking cancellations (by either the renter or owner) will result in a 2-month suspension.
• Fraudulent activities, misrepresentation, or violation of platform rules may lead to permanent account suspension.

8 Insurance & Liability

🛡️ Insurance:

• All vehicles must have valid insurance before being rented.
• Rentrides is not responsible for any accidents, damages, or legal disputes between the renter and the owner.

⚖️ Liability Disclaimer:

• Rentrides acts only as a facilitator and does not own any listed vehicles.
• Users must settle any disputes directly with the concerned party.

9 User Conduct & Restrictions

🚦 Strictly Prohibited:

• Illegal activities, reckless driving, or using the rental for criminal purposes.
• Sub-leasing or transferring the rental to another person.
• Providing false documents or misrepresenting vehicle condition.

🛑 Violation of these terms may result in:

• Immediate account suspension
• Legal action (if applicable)

10 Privacy & Data Protection

🔒 We respect your privacy! All personal data is protected as per our Privacy Policy.

11 Governing Law & Disputes

📜 These terms are governed by Indian law. Any disputes will be handled exclusively in Delhi courts.
